Storm were pleased to once again be working with England Hockey in August for the European Hockey Championships which were held at the Lee Valley Stadium. Storm were contracted to manage all the audio elements of the event and also to supply remote video relay for external areas and offices around the event.
Audio for the main stadium was taken care of by around 50 boxes from the D&B T-series (both T10’s and Subs). The T10’s were configured in a mixture of point-source and cluster mode around the stadium to provide consistent and even coverage. T-subs were used to add additional warmth during music stings. All boxes were driven by D80’s and Dante networks provided the signal distribution.
Audio in the fan park was provided using Storm’s new Y-series system both to cover the main stage, the bar area and a separate array to shoot over the A12 towards the Velodrome. In addition to these systems Storm provided another 10 systems for smaller ancillary areas, offices and hospitality areas. These were covered using a variety of E5, E6 and E8 speakers.
All video relays in the offices and hospitality areas were driven by Storm’s Analog Way systems over Lightware TPS signal distribution systems. A combination of 20 screens were supplied from the Samsung DMD range including 48, 55 and 65 inch formats.
