An Economic Forum held at the Hilton in London’s financial division of the Docklands was supported by Storm with full AV services including staging, lighting, sound and live video projection. Storm installed a large ground support truss system from their stock of Litec QX30 and QD30 truss to house the lighting, projection and audio equipment. Sound reinforcement was looked after by engineer Dave Warner who specified D&B and Yamaha components throughout. Using a total of 16 T10 elements flown from the truss in both array and point source orientations along with a good handful of E5 and T-sub units on the floor, Warner ensured that the afternoon speaker – Global Explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes – was heard clearly and evenly throughout the venue. Audio was controlled by a Yamaha LS9 mixing desk twinned with an SB168 digital stagebox system. Amplifiers were D&B D6 and D12.
